Maruti Suzuki sales up 10% in September, CompanY sold 93,988 units in September, Latest stock price
Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s largest carmaker, has posted a 9.8 per cent increase in total sales at 93,988 vehicles in September 2012. The company sold 85,565 units during the same month a year ago.
The company, controlled by Japan's Suzuki Motor Corp, posted a 12.7 per cent increase in domestic sales at 88,801 (78,816) units, while the passenger vehicle sales rose 3.4 per cent to 68,957 (66,667), it said in a statement.
The New Delhi-based firm, which also makes commercial vehicles, registered a 23.1 per cent fall in exports at 5,187 (6,749) units.
The shutdown at its Manesar factory, following employee unrest at its Manesar plant, resulted in a production loss of about $250 million during July and August.
