Government hikes Diesel prices by Rs 5 per litre, Cooking gas restricted to 6 cylinders per year, Kerosene and Petrol prices untouched.
Government finally today decided to hike the diesel price in India by Rs 5 per litre effective from midnight 13th September, Petrol , kerosene and LPG rates not changed.
Govenment also decided to restrict supply of subsidised cooking gas to 6 cylinders per household in a year.
Government Oil marketing companies make a loss of Rs 19 per litre on Diesel, Rs 32.7 per litre on kerosene sales and Rs 347 per cylinder on cooking gas.
Diesel in Delhi costs Rs 41.32 a litre and after this hike, it will cost Rs 46.95.
