Mahindra and Mahindra, M&M to launch compact SUV Quanto in September, Will be around Rs 1 lakh cheaper as compared to XYLO.

India's utility manutacturer major Mahindra & Mahindra plans to launch new product QUANTO a second product in its passenger vehicle range in September.

Car is desiged on its XYLO platform. It will come with a new 3 cylinder twin turbo diesel engine producing 65 PS. The cais expected to be atleast Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the latter owing to lower excise duty of 12 percent as against 27 percent.

Though XYLO falls in MPV (multi-purpose vehicle (MPV)), but QUANTO will be called as Mini SUV.

Quanto will be 7 seater car with a powerful turbo charged deisel end but comapany also launch it pertol varient option also.

President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mr Pawan Goenka, Mahindra & Mahindra, told in a release “With the Quanto, Mahindra is aiming to fill a need gap in the Indian automotive market for a versatile and compact SUV. We are confident that with its unique value proposition, the Quanto will carve out a segment for itself in the market."
