Miss China PR, Wenxia Yu, was crowned the 62nd Miss World with Miss Wales Sophie Elizabeth Moulds as the 1st runner-up and Miss Australia Jessica Michele Kahawaty as the 2nd runner-up.



Miss China PR Wenxia Yu looked extremely gorgeous in a large blue colour gown as she was being crowned by reigning Miss World, Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela.

Narrowed down from top 15, the top 7 comprised Jamaica, South Sudan, India, Australia, Brazil, China PR, Wales.The 15 semi finalists included India,Mexico, Australia,Jamaica,China PR,Wales,South Sudan,England, Brazil,Spain,Phillipines,United States,Netherlands, Indonesia, Kenya.



India’s contender for the much-coveted Miss World 2012 title, Vanya Mishra was amongst the top seven finalists at the global beauty pageant. Vanya won ‘Miss Social Media’ and ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ title and was being touted as one of the probable winner.
